Job Purpose (Key Objectives):

• Supports the implementation of Group wide strategies into the local country.
• Responsible for indirect and direct procurement in areas designated by the Country Head of Procurement (CHoP).
• Leads the sourcing process in area of responsibility designated by CHoP, end to end, and is the contact point for suppliers and key cross-functional interfaces.
• Supports the improvement in local utilization of the Purchase 2 Pay process and reports development via KPI’s.
• Purchases goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
• Identifies and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements to ensure favourable terms and conditions.
• Forecasts price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer/supplier power.
• Manages and maintain relationships with existing suppliers, monitoring their performance and addressing any issues that may arise.
• Conducts market research and analysis to identify trends, market conditions, and potential risks and opportunities.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and provide procurement solutions that meet their needs.
• Evaluates supplier performance and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
• Identifies cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce expenses.
• Reports Procurement effectiveness via KPI’s.

Key Accountabilities:

Sourcing
Executes sourcing strategy for the local country within his/ her area of responsibility:

• Identifies sourcing projects within the spend area scope for annual procurement plan
• Participates in cross-functional teams in the development of sourcing strategies
• Manages vendors and ensures contracts are created and maintained in SAP
• Initiates and executes agreements with suppliers e.g. contract, NDA, GDPR etc.
• Actively investigates alternatives and new products in the market

Business Partnership:
Collaborates and partners within the organization to ensure overall benefits for the group:

• Supports country Procurement team in defining commodity procurement strategy
• Supports new product development with regards to Procurement activities in area of responsibility
• Interfaces with Plant personnel to ensure efficiencies are realized in the Purchase 2 Pay process

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

•  3+ years of experience (tactical and operational) in a purchasing organization within the production industry
• Understanding of local market issues and wider macro effects
• Understanding of cost models e.g.Total Cost of Ownership
• Knowledge of SAP and P2P platforms, drive and realize their efficiencies
• Strong analytical and structuring skills
• Experience in contract management and strategic supply base management
• Fast business and technical knowledge
• Pronounced communications skills
• “Can-do” attitude and team player mindset
• Problem-solving skills to address issues and find creative solutions.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Proactive and result-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive favourable outcomes.
• Experience with Resins and Plastics will be considered as an advantage.
